Tent Life

During the expedition to the North Pole the team will be camping in tents directly on the ice - so learning how to get the tents up and down very quickly, as well as how to make them nice and cosy and comfortable is an important skill for the team to master!

Most of the day was spent practising pitching tents on the grass outside the hut - the pouring rain added a little misery to the lessons which was all good training - and a rainbow was the reward for lots of hard work.

The team slept out in the tents for the first time in preparation for camping on the glacier next week. Iceland threw some wind and heavy rain at the trial camp during the night but everyone slept and dawn found the tents still in position where they should be - another success!
